I’ve Been Tagged By Scot McKnight

1. One book that changed your life:  The Wounded Healer by Henri Nouwen. After reading this book, I read everything by Nouwen I could find.

2. One book that you’ve read more than once:  Generation to Generation by Edwin H. Friedman.  A book every minister should read by a former rabbi and marriage and family therapist.

3. One book you’d want on a desert island:  Letters and Papers from Prison by Dietrich Bonhoeffer.  I would like to slowly read this book again.

4. One book that made you laugh:  Tales from the Dallas Cowboys by Cliff Harris and Charlie Waters.

5. One book that made you cry:  Days of Glory, Seasons of Night by Marilee Pierce Dunker.  The story of her father, World Vision founder Bob Pierce, and his relationship to his family.

6. One book you wish had been written:  What I Wish the 21st Century Church Understood about My Letters by the Apostle Paul.

7. One book you wish had never been written:  Bobbed Hair, Bossy Wives, and Women Preachers by John R. Rice.  (Yes, this really is a book.)

8. One book you’re currently reading:  Pilgrim Heart by Darryl Tippens.

9. One book you’ve been meaning to read:  The Mosaic of Christian Beliefs by Roger Olson.

10. Tag 5 others: Arlene Kasselman,  Allan Bevere,  Bill Williams,  Bobby Valentine, and Wade Tannehill.  I don’t know if I’m supposed to e-mail you or just hope you read this. So, I’m counting on you reading this and posting your answers.
