(You may have seen this post yesterday. If you did, I encourage you to go to the bottom of the post and click on "comments." This woman commented this morning. She signed it "tech support.")
She was so nice. We were on the telephone for about 45 minutes. I was having computer problems. She was at the other end of an 800 number and worked in technical support. What she did to help me was involved and detailed. Yet, she was patient and polite. A part of this process included a procedure during which she was able to actually look at my computer from her remote location. Consequently, she was able to see my home page, which is this blog. Finally, near the end of this process when it seemed that I would finally have wireless service again, she commented on the words that she saw in front of her on her screen. She said aloud the words: “God-Hungry.”
She then said something like, “That’s interesting.” She asked me if I was a pastor or a minister. I told her I was. She laughed nervously and said, “I’ve got lots of problems.” I said that I write this blog every day for people just like her who might need encouragement. She said, "Well I need that."
She went on to give me a confirmation number and made a few comments about the technical help she had given. She then said, “May I ask you a question?” Sure. “Would you pray for me?” I could hear many people around her, no doubt helping other callers. I realized that she was putting some trust in the voice at the other end.
I asked her if there was something specific that I could pray about. She said, "I have so many problems." I said, "Life can be overwhelming, can’t it?" For a moment, there was silence on the other end of the telephone. She then said, "I’m crying." I told her that I was praying for her and would continue to pray later that evening. I encouraged her to look on this blog for something that might be encouraging.
The following is a brief note to her:
Thank you for your help last night. I am glad you asked me to pray for you. You gave me your name and the name of the country where you live. After getting off of the telephone last night, I prayed for you. I prayed that God would help you with these overwhelming problems. I then "Googled" your country on my computer. I looked at the map of your country.
You are on the other side of the world from where I live. Yet, God knows exactly where you live. As I prayed, I thought about how he knows your address, your past and your present. He knows exactly where you live and what might be going on in your life and family. He knows the stress and pressure that you feel. He knows what is not going right in your life. He knows you and loves you.
I prayed for you again, when I got to my office. I know of nothing more powerful than praying for another person. It is a privilege to pray to God on your behalf. By the way, I happen to believe that our brief conversation was no accident. This sounds like a moment in which God was working in your life to reach out to someone and communicate your need for prayer.

I totally agree with you that your needing computer assistance and that dear lady needing prayer was orchestrated by our loving God! He is showing her His love in a unique and powerful way. http://christianwomentoday.com/ is a wonderful site for women to chat with other women around the world. They pray for one another and encourage each other. One remains anonymous by using a nickname. I’m praying for this lady right now!

Dear Tech Support, This is not a link, but some words of great hope (Jim, I hope this is ok): Humble yourselves under God’s mighty hand (which you did when you asked Jim to pray for you), that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers and sisters throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To Him be the power for ever and ever. Amen This is my prayer for you.

One of the things that is most heart warming to me no matter where we live around the world is that when we begin to talk to each other, we all have a story. Some of us manage to hide our story better than others and some of us have a hard time admitting we have a story. But when we risk enough to share and reach out to each other, God honors that with support, love and encouragement. Please know that you are being prayed for and that you have sisters and brothers here who too walk hard roads and together we lean on each other to make it. Thank you so much for letting us partner with you!

Dear Tech Support, here’s my prayer for you.
Father, I don’t know this lady, we live worlds apart. But I know she and I are very much alike. We both have problems, we’re human and without you we can’t make it. I don’t know her needs, but You do, I ask You to be very present in her life today. Bring someone into her life that knows You and can help her. If her needs are physical, I pray for healing, if they are spiritual, I pray for cleansing, if financial, I pray for wisdom. Father, you are the Great Comforter, please be with her today. Accept this prayer in the name of Jesus.
God, May you wrap this woman in tech support in this country accross the globe…wrap her up and hold her in your lap. May you whisper in her ear that you are WITH her. In all things, that she can actually call out to you, God. That she may remember to ask you for answers, for courage, and for even more answers. That she may recognize your voice…the small voice when she is quiet…and trust your truth. May you bring her to more opportunities that help her to know you care.
Thank you for bringing her attention back to you in this way. Breathe life and peace into her daily stuff. Forgive her and erase the past stuff she wants left behind or to forget about. Fill her future with your grace and love. Protect her and keep her close.

"Tech Support"– I’m so glad you left your comment earlier. As you can see, more people have indicated that they are praying for you. Most of these people read this blog regularly. yesterday was my 29th bday,nobody remembered it but i know God does,i wasn’t able to go to church yesterday because i have to go to work,i prayed & thanked him before i slept last night,i thanked him for the opportunity that i meet Jim that day because he guided me back to God’s path…it was almost 7 months ago when i last prayed to God,i started back the day i ended the call with Jim,it’s very hard to face & bear all the problems i have alone,i have no one to talk to about it,im an only child & a loner,i tried suicide last year to escape it all & i hated God when he let me live,but after reading all the post on this blog,i asked God’s forgiveness…I thank you Jim & everybody who prayed for me for opening my eyes & letting me realize that God loves me still & i am also his child…thank you all very much….my email is kiarra_louise@yahoo.com i would like to hear from you,i want to know more about God’s words…i maybe good in computers & networking devices but i only know John 3:16 as a verse in the bible ( is it from the old or new testament?)…
